Digital meeting place

The Digital Meeting Place is a space where citizens can come together and follow society’s digital transformation.

The Digital Meeting Place was launched as a volunteer project in the spring of 2019 by Helena Englund. The activity was run in Gävle Folkets Hus alongside her educational company. It was open every weekday from 09:00 to 16:00, with instructors and interpreters available to provide support.

Individuals in need of assistance to navigate our increasingly digital world could visit The Digital Meeting Place to receive help with tasks such as installing and using BankID and managing passwords, enabling them to access public services provided by municipalities, regional authorities, the Social Insurance Agency, healthcare providers, and the Public Employment Service. Support was also offered for everyday digital activities such as paying bills, booking tickets, searching online, sending emails, and using mobile payment services like Swish.

Today, The Digital Meeting Place is moving into the cloud, where we continue to support and empower people through digital meetings, helping everyone take part in the digital transformation.

We will host online meetings on various societal topics related to digitalization, open for all to join, providing information and fostering inclusion in the ongoing digital development of society.

In addition, telephone support will be available for those who need help taking their first steps into the digital world.
